Night Diver

There are many reasons to want to go diving at night. Some animals rarely seen during the day amongst the true colours of the environment with your dive light, during the day some of these colours will have been filtered out. This course is the best way to get to see the bioluminescence of Crete, with the opportunity of turning off your torches and experiencing this natural phenomenon lighting up the water. Here at Kefi Divers, we keep our ratios at 1:2, 1 instructor per 2 students in the water. This lets you complete the theory at your own pace, so you can dive straight into the exciting underwater adventure when you arrive! • Day 1 Your night diving experience begins at our dive centre, where we’ll ensure you’re fully prepared for the course. With the Mediterranean waters ranging from 22°C to 28°C in summer, you’ll be comfortable as we start by reviewing the E-Learning and answering any questions you may have. Then, we’ll head out to our protected dive site. During the day, this site is home to schools of glass fish, barracuda, octopus, lionfish, moray eels, and scorpionfish. As night falls, the underwater world comes alive with more nocturnal creatures, offering a unique opportunity to spot moray eels, lobsters, and playful octopus in their natural habitat. • Day 2 & 3 The following days will mirror Day 1, but we’ll have all your gear ready and waiting for you. You'll continue to refine your night diving skills, building your confidence and getting a closer look at the nighttime wonders of the Mediterranean Sea. Meeting times will vary depending on the season and sunset times.
