Almyrida Beach

Shallow shore dive 100 metres from Kefi Divers in Almyrida, Chania: up to 6 metres in the introductory dive area, with occasional sea turtle sightings.

Almyrida Beach is a shallow shore dive site in the heart of Almyrida, just 100 metres from the Kefi Divers dive centre. With easy entry and depths of up to 6 metres in the area used for introductory dives, it offers a relaxed setting for discovering the underwater world of Crete.

The site is particularly well suited to introductory dives, allowing first-time divers to practise essential underwater skills before exploring the surrounding marine environment. Its shallow waters provide a comfortable setting for building confidence underwater while discovering the marine life of Crete's northern coast.

Sea turtles are occasionally seen in the area, and in our local experience, morning dives offer especially good chances of seeing them. Squid have also been reported during the early part of the season. As with all wildlife encounters, sightings can never be guaranteed.
